Your raffle supporters can now benefit from simple, fast, and more secure payments.

We’re always developing our charity fundraising platforms. Our roadmap is driven by a single goal: making it easier for your supporters to fuel your mission. We know that your supporter demographic is becoming more familiar with simpler, faster, more secure ways of paying. For this reason, we’ve implemented Google Pay™ and Apple Pay® for faster one-off raffle ticket purchases using their smart devices.

Why offering Google Pay and Apple Pay matters for charities

While adding a new payment type might seem like a small technical update, for non-profits, it is a game-changer. Digital wallets are no longer “alternative” payments; they are the preferred choice for a mobile-first generation of supporters.

  • Creates zero friction: For one-off payments of raffle tickets, your supporters can complete payments seamlessly within seconds using TouchID or FaceID on their smart devices.
  • More secure payments: The Google Pay and Apple Pay platforms use tokenization. To clarify, this means that sensitive user data and card details are never stored on our servers, offering your supporters complete peace of mind. Also, these payment methods automatically handle “Strong Customer Authentication” (SCA), which is a legal requirement in many regions to prevent fraud (PSD2 compliance).
  • Leads to higher conversions: Charities can often have issues with card payment checkouts or the availability of Merchant ID (MID) for the purpose of raffle/gambling transactions. We can now offer a MID for clients which includes Google Pay and Apple Pay, via our chosen trusted partner Clover, without intervention.

Direct integration via Clover: a seamless upgrade

We are committed to making these high-conversion payment methods as easy for our clients to implement as they are for supporters to use. To ensure a smooth rollout, we have initially enabled Google Pay and Apple Pay for clients to allow one-off raffle and superdraw entries via their charity fundraising websites.

The implementation process depends on your current merchant setup:

  • For clients with Clover MIDs: Good news! Because of our deep integration with Clover, we have been able to activate these features automatically. No technical intervention or configuration is required on your part – your supporters can start using digital wallets immediately.
  • For clients with other providers: If your Merchant ID (MID) is held with a different provider, we still want to get you up and running! To enable these features, you will simply need to contact your provider to obtain specific configuration details. Once you have those, our team will handle the rest of the setup on your microsite.

Our goal isn’t just to be fast; it’s to be right. We are committed to providing the most modern tools while maintaining the rock-solid reliability our clients depend on.”

Why this is a win for your Raffle and Superdraws:

By focusing on these high-velocity campaigns, we are targeting the areas where “impulse giving” is highest. A supporter who decides to buy a raffle ticket shouldn’t be slowed down by a manual form. With this update, they are just one “FaceID” or “TouchID” away from entering your draw.
